Shopify CRO Consultant for DTC Brands

Find the friction between the ad click and checkout, then focus on the improvements that matter.

Shopify / Conversion

/ Shopify CRO Consultant

I find and fix conversion leaks across the entire journey — from Meta ad click and landing page through product page, offer, trust, cart and checkout.

A Shopify CRO consultant audits your full buying journey, finds where shoppers drop off using evidence, then prioritizes and implements fixes ranked by revenue impact. I do that across the whole journey: your ads, landing pages, product pages, cart, and checkout — not just the theme.

The offer: Shopify Conversion Fix Sprint — $750 fixed price — a 13-area teardown of your journey, with the highest-impact fixes shipped on your store in 7 days.

Your store looks fine. So why aren’t people buying?

Most stores I review look good on the surface. The problems sit underneath: a value proposition that never quite lands above the fold, shipping and returns information nowhere near the buy button, trust signals buried pages away from the purchase, a cart that introduces doubt instead of removing it.

You have already paid for the traffic. Running more ads will not fix a leaky funnel — fixing the journey from ad click to checkout is what makes every visitor worth more.

Who this is for

  • — A US or UK Shopify brand in apparel, accessories, or home.
  • — You are already running paid traffic and getting orders.
  • — You can give Shopify collaborator access and answer questions during the sprint.

Not a fit: pre-launch stores with no traffic data yet, anyone wanting a full rebrand or redesign, and anyone who needs a guaranteed conversion rate — I will not promise you one.

What does a Shopify CRO consultant actually do?

A Shopify CRO consultant audits your entire buying journey — homepage, collections, product pages, cart, and checkout, on mobile and desktop — finds where shoppers drop off using evidence, then prioritizes and implements fixes ranked by revenue impact.

A consultant is different from an agency: one senior operator does the audit and ships the fixes — no account manager relaying messages between you and the person doing the work. And different from a developer: diagnosis comes before code, so you fix the right things instead of rebuilding the wrong ones.

What it is not: not a redesign service, not guaranteed lift percentages, and not ad management.

My method: full-journey CRO

Most CRO consultants stop at the theme. I start at the ad: Meta ad → landing page → product page → cart → checkout. One continuous journey, reviewed as one thing — because a sharper ad does not help a confusing product page, and a clean product page does not save a checkout full of surprises.

That is only possible because my background covers the whole line: Meta ads, landing pages, and Shopify design and development. Most people own one slice — ads or CRO or dev. You can see the range of that work in my portfolio.

What’s included: the Shopify Conversion Fix Sprint

$750, fixed price. Seven days, start to finish.

  • — Full-journey audit: your store reviewed across 13 areas, from homepage to ad and landing-page consistency — documented, with screenshots.
  • — Fix list ranked by impact: every finding ordered by expected revenue impact, not opinion. You see the list before anything changes.
  • — Fixes implemented on your store: the highest-impact items shipped directly: announcement bar and offer framing, homepage, product pages, cart drawer, and trust signals near checkout.
  • — Before/after verification: every change checked after it ships.
  • — Handoff summary: what changed, why it changed, and what to watch next.

Not included: full redesign, custom app development, ongoing ad management.

Access I’ll need: Shopify collaborator access (I’ll specify the exact permissions before you approve anything), read-only ad account access if I’m reviewing your ads, and GA4 read access if you have it.

The 13-area sprint: what gets reviewed

Every sprint walks the same 13 areas, in the order a buyer experiences them — from the ad click to the completed checkout.

  1. 1. Paid traffic alignment. Do your Meta ads promise the same thing your store delivers? A mismatch here loses the sale before the click even lands.
  2. 2. Landing page messaging. Does the page continue the ad’s promise, or does the shopper have to re-orient from scratch?
  3. 3. Homepage. Does a first-time visitor understand what you sell and why it matters, within seconds?
  4. 4. Navigation and collections. Can shoppers find what they want without thinking — on mobile especially?
  5. 5. Product page. Does the page answer every buying question near the buy button — shipping, returns, stock, trust — or only at checkout?
  6. 6. Mobile UX. Most of your traffic arrives on a phone. Is the journey smooth on a small screen, or does it break?
  7. 7. Offer architecture. Is the deal clear, and does the value you communicate justify the price you charge?
  8. 8. Pricing presentation. Are prices, discounts, and comparisons presented without confusion or fine-print surprises?
  9. 9. Social proof. Are reviews and ratings visible where the buying decision actually happens — not buried pages away?
  10. 10. Trust signals. Guarantees, policies, and credibility cues, placed near the point of purchase.
  11. 11. Cart. Does your cart build confidence, or does it introduce doubt — surprise costs, confusing options?
  12. 12. Checkout. Is the path to payment short, clear, and free of friction and last-minute surprises?
  13. 13. Tracking and measurement. Can you actually see where shoppers drop off? GA4, events, and funnels — set up so decisions run on evidence.

This is the same checklist published openly as the 13-area Shopify conversion framework — what each of the 13 areas covers, and what good looks like.

How much does Shopify CRO cost?

A one-off CRO audit typically costs $500–$5,000, and agency retainers run $4,000–$20,000 per month. My offer is simpler: the Shopify Conversion Fix Sprint is $750, fixed price.

That $750 covers the 13-area teardown plus the highest-impact fixes implemented on your store within 7 days — no discovery retainer, no monthly commitment, no hidden quote. If something falls outside the sprint scope, I flag it and quote it separately before doing anything.

How the sprint works

  1. 1. Audit (days 1–2). I walk the full journey the way a buyer does — 13 areas, mobile and desktop — and document every leak with screenshots.
  2. 2. Prioritize (day 3). Fixes ranked by revenue impact. You approve the order before anything is touched.
  3. 3. Implement (days 4–6). The highest-impact fixes go live on your store, inside your existing theme.
  4. 4. Verify (day 7). Before/after check on every change, plus a short handoff note so you know exactly what moved and why.

Proof

Honest answer first: I don’t have client before-and-afters to show you yet — and I’d rather tell you that than invent some.

What I can show you is how I audit stores: in independent store reviews I’ve published, the same purchase-path patterns keep appearing — no delivery or returns information near the buy button, trust signals pages away from payment, variant selectors with no stock indication, shipping costs revealed only at checkout. That is the lens I bring to your product pages, cart, and checkout — and you can see the range of builds behind it in my portfolio.

Why work with me instead of an agency

  • — One senior operator. I do the audit and I ship the fixes. No account manager, no relay, no overhead baked into the price.
  • — One skill set across the journey. Shopify development and design, Meta ads, landing pages, ecommerce UX. Agencies split this across three people who rarely talk to each other.
  • — Fixed price, fixed scope. $750, seven days, defined deliverables — and direct access to me throughout.
  • — Public background. My work is on this site, my code is on GitHub, and my profile is on LinkedIn. Nothing to hide behind.

Questions founders ask

How much does it cost — is it really fixed-price?

$750 flat for the sprint scope above. If something falls outside scope — a full theme rebuild, for example — I’ll flag it and quote it separately before doing anything. No hidden fees.

How long does the sprint take?

Seven days from kickoff to handoff, assuming I get store access and timely answers from you. Slow access or slow approvals are the usual delays — everything else is on me.

How is this different from hiring a CRO agency?

An agency puts an account manager between you and the person doing the work, and usually sells a monthly retainer. With me, the person auditing your store is the person fixing it — one operator, one fixed scope, faster decisions. An agency still makes sense if you need a whole team and ongoing experimentation at scale.

Should I hire a freelancer instead of a CRO consultant?

A freelancer is the right call when you already know the fix and need hands — a new section, a speed tweak, a theme edit. A CRO consultant owns the diagnosis first: finding the leaks, ranking them by revenue impact, then fixing the ones that count. Hiring freelancers without that diagnosis means paying per task and hoping the tasks were the right ones.

What access do you need to my store?

For the Conversion Fix Sprint: Shopify collaborator access — I’ll tell you exactly which permissions and why before you approve anything. If I’m reviewing your ads, read-only access to the ad account helps; GA4 read access too, if you have it. I won’t touch anything outside the agreed fixes.

Do you guarantee a conversion-rate lift?

No — and you should be wary of anyone who does. I target the highest-impact leaks first, but results depend on your traffic quality, your offer, and your pricing. What I guarantee is the work: the audit, the ranked fixes, the implementation, and the verification.

Will you change my store’s design?

No redesign. Fixes work inside your existing theme — same design language, same brand. If a visual change would genuinely help conversion, I’ll explain why and get your approval first.

What happens after the Conversion Fix Sprint?

You get a handoff summary: what changed, why it changed, and what to watch next. If you want follow-up work afterward, we can talk about it — no obligation, no retainer pitch baked in.

How much does Shopify CRO cost?

In the market, one-off CRO audits I’ve seen quoted run $500–$5,000, and agency retainers run $4,000–$20,000 per month. My Shopify Conversion Fix Sprint is $750 fixed: a 13-area teardown plus the highest-impact fixes implemented on your store in 7 days — no retainer, no hidden quote.

What is included in a Shopify conversion audit?

The sprint covers a 13-area teardown of your full buying journey — paid traffic alignment, landing pages, homepage, navigation, product pages, mobile UX, offer, pricing, social proof, trust, cart, checkout, and measurement — documented with screenshots, fixes ranked by revenue impact, and the highest-impact ones implemented in 7 days.

Should I hire a Shopify CRO consultant or redesign my store?

If your store looks fine but isn’t converting, a redesign is usually the wrong first move — the problem is rarely the theme. A CRO sprint finds and fixes the actual leaks: messaging, offer, trust, cart, checkout. Redesign only when the brand or structure is genuinely broken, not when the journey is.

Who is the Conversion Fix Sprint NOT a good fit for?

If you just launched with almost no traffic, a sprint is premature — fixes need enough buyers to prove they work, and your analytics need data to read. If the store genuinely needs a new brand and structure, a redesign comes first. And if you need ongoing ad management rather than a one-off fix, I am not your media buyer.

What does a Shopify CRO consultant do?

A Shopify CRO consultant finds and fixes the reasons your store visitors don’t buy. The work runs across the full journey — ad click, landing page, product page, cart, checkout — identifying friction points, ranking them by revenue impact, and implementing the fixes. Unlike a designer or developer, a CRO consultant is measured on one thing: turning more of your existing traffic into customers.

How long does it take to see results from Shopify CRO?

The sprint itself finishes in 7 days — audit, fixes, verification. When the results show up depends on your traffic: with steady ad or organic traffic, you can usually read the impact in your analytics within 2 to 4 weeks. Low-traffic stores take longer to reach a readable sample. I don’t promise a lift on a date; I promise the fixes ship and the measurement is honest.
